Our Story

Helping local thrive.

One person, a laptop, and a genuine love for community. Spotlight My Town was built to make sure the good stuff reaches the people who care.

How It Started

Spotlight My Town started with a simple idea: our neighborhoods deserve better local coverage.

I spent years in law enforcement, and that experience taught me something: community matters. Knowing the people around you, the businesses on the corner, what's happening this weekend — that's the stuff that holds a neighborhood together. When I stepped away from that career, I wanted to keep that connection alive.

So I started a newsletter. One person, a laptop, and a genuine love for the places I call home. No big media company. No investors. Just someone who wants to make sure the good stuff — the new restaurants, the weekend events, the local deals — actually reaches the people who care.

What We Do

Every morning at 6 AM, we send out a daily newsletter — a quick 10-minute read packed with local news, deals, and a business spotlight. It's everything you need to know about your community, waiting in your inbox before the coffee's even ready.

We also deliver direct mail pieces straight to doorsteps via USPS, because not everything should live behind a screen. When a local business wants to reach their community, we make it simple and affordable.

What We Believe

The principles that guide everything we do at Spotlight My Town.

Local First

Everything we do is built around the communities we serve. No national filler. No algorithm-driven noise.

Keep It Real

We're not a faceless brand. You can reach us, talk to us, and hold us accountable.

Support Small Business

Local businesses are the backbone of every neighborhood. We make it easy and affordable to get in front of their neighbors.

Show Up Consistently

A newsletter only works if people can count on it. We show up every day with content that matters.
